Blessed Be

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 12, 2009, 12:16 PM

:iconluckylooke:

Well we (when i say we i mean Astarte, Ra and myself) celebrated Samhain correctly on the 31st of October, gathering a few funny looks off my parents and sister as we set up the circle of candles and alter, underneath a spreading holly and giant oak trees.

After minor hiccups everything went successfully, and with no after effects :)
All is good.

===

I about to say Yule is fast approaching but it isn't really.
The Wiccan practice of Yule takes place on the 21st/22nd of December in the Northern hemisphere (June 20th/21st in the Southern hemisphere), and we are considering another ritual.
When it comes closer to the time i will definitely post something about the Winter Festival of Yule and what it symbolizes.

===

I'll be going away on holiday over Noel, And probably wont be back until after New Year (i really have no idea), I'm going skiing in the French Alps (i'm terrified).

===

Hopefully we'll be able to get some more deviations up, i've been busy with my other accounts, and I'm sure Astarte and Ra with theirs.
But we'll find the time to do something with this one.

Until then,

I know its a bit faraway still but i just wanted to write a Journal :)
I'll Update it a little better when its closer to the time.

On the 31st of October or 1st November, it'll be Celtic Festival Samhain. Otherwise known as Halloween to a large majority of people.

Samhain is considered by some Wiccans as a time to celebrate the lives of those who have passed on, and it often involves paying respect to ancestors, family members, elders of the faith, friends, pets and other loved ones who have died. In some rituals the spirits of the departed are invited to attend the festivities. It is seen as a festival of darkness, which is balanced at the opposite point of the wheel by the spring festival of Beltane, which Wiccans celebrate as a festival of light and fertility.

When its a little closer to the time, I'll put some more information. Its just i wanted to do a Journal :(
